Description of a Craftsman Home Inspection:

A home inspection consists of three parts: a visual inspection of the residence, a verbal debrief of defects found, and a written/ photographic pdf report of the findings and recommendations.

Onsite visual inspection of the major systems of a residential building as well as the primary carport or the primary garage.

These systems include:

  • Roofing, flashing, skylights and chimneys,

  • Exterior siding, decks, porches, sidewalks and railings,

  • Exterior grading and drainage,

  • Foundation and structural components,

  • Crawlspaces, basements and attics,

  • Heating and cooling systems,

  • Plumbing and electrical systems,

  • Insulation and ventilation,

  • Windows, doors, walls and ceilings, and

  • Primary carport or garage,

A follow up conversation (onsite or by phone) identifying existing major problems found on the day of the inspection and the possible implications of these deficiencies.

 A detailed photographic and written pdf report of the inspected building will be received within 48 hours of inspection. This report will identify all problems found at the time of inspection.
